5th International Plagiarism Conference

The 2012 International Plagiarism Conference celebrates ten years of pioneering research in this area. This biennial event will showcase innovative practices from around the globe which promote approaches to authentic assessment which place the student at the heart of the learning process.

The conference combines personal best practices with approaches to assessment which both address plagiarism and support a high quality learning experience along with strategies for managing the issue from an institutional level. The conference provides a unique opportunity to connect with key thinkers in the field and to discover best practices and new approaches.

Now, in its fifth iteration the conference has established a reputation as a forum for worldwide good practice in this area and attracts practitioners in education at all levels. Delegates attending the conference increasingly reflect the global scope of this topic, and previous conferences have attracted practitioners from the UK and Europe, US, Australia, Asia and the Middle East.

The 2012 conference will take place at the impressive Sage Gateshead live music venue, designed by British architect Norman Forster, without doubt one of the most iconic buildings on the NewcastleGateshead Quayside.
